Welcome to my BLOG GALLERY! I have made a goal to not only create art more frequently, but to display it here and get YOUR feedback. I am always looking for suggestions and ideas.
The other day I went to the harbour with Nathan and Cam. Nathan graciously showed Cam all of the ships while I sat on a bench and stretched my creative self. Rarely do I get to do this (draw on location) so this was a real treat for me. I used my new favourite pens (black Pigma Micron waterproof) and my watercolour block and drew what I saw out to sea. Once I draw the composition with my pens I can finish at home by painting with watercolours overtop.
I'm calling this one "a place to start". That's its name because if the beginning of something big for me. I've promised myself that I'll be taking my art more seriously from now on. I have so many new ideas and I fully intend on trying every one of them :) I always like that name because Halifax is a place where families begin new adventures. It's an inspiring place to be.
